R&M is founded
R&M is founded as a specialised service provider supplying: Piping & structural fabrication in primary & secondary steels for on & offshore Survey. R&M goes on to establish a dedicated fabrication facility in Huntly,  Aberdeenshire and is acquired by of Aurora Energy Services in 2023.
IATS is founded
IATS is founded as an IRATA Training venue in the Highlands with a strong focus on the delivery of a better quality of rope access training in the area, and has since gone on to be one of the most successful rope access training providers in Scotland.
Aurora is founded
Aurora is founded as a world class Independent Service Provider (ISP) to the international energy market - across Oil & Gas, Wind, Solar, Hydrogen, Carbon Capture & Storage, Pumped Hydro, and Waste to Energy.
Aurora acquires IATS
Aurora acquires IATS, an IRATA Accredited Rope Access Operations and Training Company based in Inverness. This becomes the foundation of Aurora first, triple accredited renewables, safety & technical training centre.
Aurora acquires R&M Engineering
Aurora Acquires R&M Engineering, with over 30 years of experience in providing fabrication services for the Oil & Gas industry, and more recently for Offshore Wind installations. The Huntly premises boasts 6.5 acres of operational space, is now the foundation of Aurora’s Fabrication & site services divison.
