Fish Ladder Camera Upgrade

Objective

Installations of new brackets and cameras at various locations on the Fish Ladder throughout Scotland.

Challenges

Gaining access to some of the Hydro locations which required rope access and confined space trained personnel.

Solution

Aurora’s operations division team successfully installed the brackets and cameras using rope access techniques.

The team used abseiling systems to descend to various locations, using stop drop tooling to prevent dropped objects.

The team that carried out this scope of work consisted of one L3 Supervisor, two Level 1 and 2 operatives, all personnel were trained through our internal training centre.

• All cameras are fully functional and in operation throughout Scotland.

• Client can now gather more accurate count of the fauna numbers in various locations.
